The Library System of Lancaster County offers amazing programming for infants, children, teens & adults. Beyond books, media, and so many resources, they also run the Family Museum Pass Program, which gives local families free entry to participating museums.
Here is a list of the museums you can visit with a pass:
Demuth Museum and Lancaster Museum of Art
Historic Rock Ford/ John J. Snyder Jr. Gallery
Lancaster Science Factory
Lancaster Symphony Orchestra
LancasterHistory– includes President James Buchanan’s Wheatland
Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum
Make717 STEM Maker Pass
National Toy Train Museum
North Museum of Nature and Science
Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania
How it works:
- You must have a valid Lancaster County library card
- Passes are available at all Lancaster County public libraries & the Bookmobile
- Passes usually circulate for one week
- They cover standard admission — not valid during special events or programming that requires registration or extra fees.
This partnership between the Lancaster Libraries and local museums provides opportunities for families to learn, explore, and make memories together at no cost. Just another reason why we LOVE the Lancaster Library System — they offer so many invaluable programs and opportunities for local families!
