Formerly known as the Lancaster Native Plant and Wildlife Festival, MT Earth Fest is an annual event at Overlook Park that showcases local environmental organizations, native plant nurseries, and many artisans. The event and activities are provided completely free thanks to a partnership between the Manheim Township Department of Parks and Recreation, Manheim Township School District, and a volunteer club called Habitat Manheim Township, who seeks to educate the public about the benefits of native plants for the ecosystem and the community through education and by example. Overlook Park, Landis Woods, and Stauffer Mansion, all part of the Manheim Township park system, have examples of native plant gardens.
This FREE rain or shine event will include a native plant sale, an earth-centered maker's market, food trucks, environmental information tables, kids' crafts and activities, animal shows, raffle prizes, a recycling drive, and more!
